New studio, new work… Here’s Lump!

So, as i previously mentioned, I’m on the Artmap this year! With that in mind, I took advantage of the glorious weather today and got some new pieces done. I’m really pleased with how they came out and I’m hoping for more good weather so I can keep this creative streak going!

Here’s ‘Lump’ for your viewing pleasure. He’ll available for sale during my open studio in late August this year.

Lump

I’m on the Artmap!

I get my own red dot this year!

I’ve got a bunch of ideas swirling around my head and I’m looking forward to producing some stuff in the very near future… well, you know… when i get around to getting some butane for the studio heater…

I’m really happy the Artmap guys accepted me into the fold this year. It’s very flattering to be part of an organisation that counts so many talented artists among its’ number. I’ll do my best to keep up!

If you don’t know what Artmap Argyll is, you can check it out here to see why I’m so pleased.

Winter is coming…

…and I’m working on new ideas…

Currently producing these door-or-desk-signs :

As well as working with good friend and all-round excellent artist Katie Houghton-Ward on her webstuff.

All this with a new baby in the house and the weather closing in…!

N.I.C.E

I’m currently resting up ahead of my return trip to Argyll tomorrow… a seven hour (or more) drive home in a car that may die at any moment, but it’s worth it.

This weekend I was at the Norhants International Comics Expo (NICE) and I had a great time. It’s the first time for this Con, and I think Jeff’s done himself proud. Sure, there were a few niggles but if he takes these on board, he could have a truly great event on his hands next year. I got to meet a bunch of amazing artists and I look forward to working with a few of them in the coming weeks and months. Special thanks to Noel and Esther Guard who were good enough to help me out when it looked like I might end up sleeping in the car…!

So now I’m looking forward to a good night’s rest at my sister-in-law’s before getting on the road again at 8AM.

Good Night!

Shaky Kane project up and running (lurching?)

I’m making a limited run of 50, and they’re on pre-order now. Shipping for preorders will be 20th August, whatever’s left will be generally available 24th August.

Also, we got a mention on BleedingCool! Now if only it would stop raining…
