As the weather turns and the temperature in the studio plunges, I’ve been working on a project I’ve imagintively called Art for Art. I’m building websites for artists in return for original work by them, and so far I have to say I’m having a brilliant time…
As most of you will know, I’m taking part in the Artmap Argyll Open Studio event. This means that for this weekend and the bank holiday Monday you can come down to the studio and see my work as it’s being created… I’ve already start-to-finish completed two pieces (below) and I’m looking forward to seeing you all as I get outside and enjoy the beautiful sunshine we’re currently enjoying here in Argyll…
See you soon!
I’ve moved the shop away from BigCartel and I’m now hosting it myself. This has given me the opportunity to update the stock and generally have a little more control over things.
You’ll notice also that I’ve uploaded some of the latest Faces In the Grain work, available for the first time online. Click here to go and have a look!
So, as i previously mentioned, I’m on the Artmap this year! With that in mind, I took advantage of the glorious weather today and got some new pieces done. I’m really pleased with how they came out and I’m hoping for more good weather so I can keep this creative streak going!
Here’s ‘Lump’ for your viewing pleasure. He’ll available for sale during my open studio in late August this year.
I get my own red dot this year!
I’ve got a bunch of ideas swirling around my head and I’m looking forward to producing some stuff in the very near future… well, you know… when i get around to getting some butane for the studio heater…
I’m really happy the Artmap guys accepted me into the fold this year. It’s very flattering to be part of an organisation that counts so many talented artists among its’ number. I’ll do my best to keep up!
If you don’t know what Artmap Argyll is, you can check it out here to see why I’m so pleased.
